Introducing Purple Dragon Canadian Headquarters Newest Black Belts

New Black Belts

The Purple Dragon Black Belt grading is the only martial arts examination of its kind This grading allows one to truly experience the truth of who they are mentally, spiritually and physically.

Candidates are prepared and selected from various parts of the world where Purple Dragon has affiliates; they all make the pilgrimage to Trinidad to experience and feel the power of the Don Jitsu Ryu System along with the local candidates.

Students learn the true meaning of commitment to the art and they are taken back to the early beginning of the Purple Dragon foundation. They are given an opportunity to ask questions about the System and demonstrate all that they have learnt over the years. The candidates are tested on stamina, strength, determination, knowledge of the Don Jitsu Ryu and the ability to preserve our system. No one leaves without a greater knowledge of the true meaning of the martial arts.

Congratulations are extended to the follow students who have been recently promoted at the 123rd Black Belt examination.

In the future we plan to include links to other martial arts so that our students can understand their place in the history of martial arts. Students of any martial art should be aware of other martial arts such as Karate, Jiu Jitsu, MMA (Mixed Martial Arts), Taekwondo, Kickboxing, Pankration, Kung Fu, Wu Shu, and the various other forms that exist.
