TOTS AGES 4-6

Your Child's Safety is Our Main Concern.

Children as young as four years old are accepted into our program once they pass a simple evaluation and orientation. Our Tots Classes are fast-paced, fun filled, educational and motivational. Kids love Karate and parents love watching their kids learn and grow in a positive, well-disciplined and encouraging atmosphere.

Programs - Tots

Each class is filled with exciting, hi-energy drills and games that are carefully designed to develop important life skills. Classes start simple and gradually become more challenging based on each child's individual pace and readiness for new material. All lessons are based on positive recognition, reward and reinforcement for effort, skill, manners, sportsmanship and respectful treatment of others. Martial Arts training builds a strong foundation that can easily be applied in academics, sports, arts and social settings outside the dojo.

KIDS AGES 7-13

An Investment in your child's Future

Every parent wants the best for their child, but how do you prepare them for all the challenges that they face in today's world? How do you teach them the motivation, discipline, and proper attitude necessary for success?

Programs - Kids

Teaching children basic traits like goal setting and self esteem at a young age can have a massive impact on what that child accomplishes in later life. Purple Dragon motivates children and teaches them confidence, coordination, physical fitness and etiquette. Our program is highly supervised by qualified Instructors. The children are never asked to perform any movement that would put them in danger of injury.

Our primary focus is to teach and Arm our children with "life skills." Because a structure of respect, courtesy and honesty is built into the Don Jitsu Ryu system, children develop the ability to listen, learn and achieve within a highly regulated environment.

TEENS

Equipping kids with the tools they need to tackle their journey into adulthood

You will develop skills to overcome your fears and successfully deal with life challenges in high school and beyond. At Purple Dragon, our goal is to teach basics such as self-confidence, self-esteem, control, and self-defense in fun and exciting ways, enabling you to gain control of your body's physical abilities and help you maintain a positive mental attitude.

Programs - Teens

Don Jitsu Ryu training will develop a mindset that guides teens toward a non-quitting spirit to overcome obstacles and to become a successful achiever. Our training instills confidence through positive coaching, encouragement and a powerful mentoring relationship with Black Belt leaders. We also teach valuable life skills that focus on goal-setting, positive attitude, relationship building and communication skills.

ADULTS

We invite adults to come in and try our program, take charge of your health and well-being. The atmosphere at Purple Dragon is very family oriented so every one is welcome and feels right at home. Regardless of age, you will work with qualified Instructors at your own pace.

Programs - Adults

Our Moms and Dads are getting in the best shape of their lives while having a great time learning valuable and practical Self-Defense Skills. We have a unique and exciting curriculum that will move you through the ranks and you will learn the most comprehensive and effective fighting methods taught in our system. You will also feel more secure and comfortable knowing that you are now better equipped to defend yourself and your family.

CARDIO-KICKBOXING

Programs - Kickboxing

Our students tell us that some of the reasons why they can't get enough is because of the increased flexibility and self confidence. A major benefit of increased flexibility is better blood circulation, and a more relaxed overall lifestyle. Self Confidence; we all know that when you look good, you feel good. Imagine adding, "and I know I can take care of myself," to the equation. There is no better feeling than knowing you are in shape and you can defend yourself if you ever have to.

We will teach you how to stretch, how to hold your guard and how to use pads with a partner for speed and reaction time. You can expect to receive a great cardio vascular workout while learning modern and practical kickboxing techniques. We do every thing a champion does to get in great shape. Kicking is great for the abs, buns, and thighs. Punching is great for the back, arms, and shoulders it's the perfect full body workout and its fun. After a few weeks of taking the classes you're likely to build endurance while improving your speed, power, and agility. All you have to do is show up we provide the motivation and equipment.

These classes will give you one-on-one professional help and instructions with one of our qualified Black Belt Instructors. A program will be tailored to reach your desired goals while working at your own pace. These classes are available for members only. See office for further details.

 

In the future we plan to include links to other martial arts so that our students can understand their place in the history of martial arts. Students of any martial art should be aware of other martial arts such as Karate, Jiu Jitsu, MMA (Mixed Martial Arts), Taekwondo, Kickboxing, Pankration, Kung Fu, Wu Shu, and the various other forms that exist.
